Meet some of our candidates from our recently completed Launch into Work Program. We share their journey towards becoming part of the Calvary team.
In Victoria recently, Calvary Community Care partnered with recruitment agency, Ternary, Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Selma, and the Australian Government Department of Jobs and Small Business to trial the Aged Care Pilot project.
The program is a fantastic opportunity that not only provides job opportunities for those who share the Calvary values but for whatever reason may not have been in permanent employment for a period of time. The program was open to candidates who have a Certificate III in Individual Support; Aged and or Community Care.
‘It's about having a bit of compassion and passion and saying that they deserve that same right as everyone else does.’ - Rebecca Michelni, Ternary
Launch into Work has been an exciting journey where we were able share experiences and get to know a wonderful group of people passionate about “being for others” and really making a difference in the communities we serve.
'Our Support Workers are absolutely 110% committed to our clients and always have been.’ - Karla Cooper, Support Worker Team Leader, Calvary Community Care
Each person came with a unique background, story and life experience which made the journey even more meaningful and learning and growing with them has been an inspiration. The candidates have since been employed at Calvary and are amongst some of our most esteemed Support Workers!
