Home Care Experts by Calvary client, Iris, has always called the Apple Isle home. In 1949 Iris was the third ever woman to join the Tasmanian Police Force so she is very familiar with the local area. A keen walker, Iris has kindly shared her special Launceston places with us.
CITY PARK
A picturesque park full of mature trees, beautiful gardens and annual flowers, the grounds are easily explored on a network of pathways. Also featuring a monkey enclosure and a beautiful conservatory.
ST JOHNS CHURCH
An impressive building inside and outside, St Johns Church is one of the oldest churches in the city and holds many special memories for me, including my Wedding day and daughter’s Christening.
EAST LAUNCESTON BOWLS CLUB
This pristine bowls club is set high up on the hill in East Launceston and is a place to meet new friends, stay active and socialise in the community. It is a great location with the Croquet Club next door and the Aquatic Centre around the corner.
